forming and pressing

About Dry-pressing
With the main advantages of high-efficiency and small dimensional deviation of moulding products, dry pressing is the most widely used forming process, which is especially suitable for ceramic products with kinds of small thicknesses, such as ceramic sealing rings, ceramic cores for valves, ceramic linear, ceramic sleeve, etc.
In this process, the powder after spray granulation with good fluidity will be filled into a hard metal mold, pressure is applied through the indenter which is shifting in the cavity and transmits the pressure, so that the particles are rearranged to be compacted to form a ceramic green body with certain strength and shape.

About Isostatic Pressing
Isostatic Pressing, which also refer to Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP), can be divided into two forms according to the different molding process: wet bag and dry bag.
The wet bag isostatic pressing technique means putting the granulated ceramic powder or the preformed blank into a deformable rubber bag, distributing pressure uniformly over the compaction material through the liquid, and taking out the rubber bag upon finished. It is a discontinuous molding process.

Compared with Steel Mould Pressing, Isostatic Pressing has the following advantages :
1. Forming parts with concave, hollow, elongated and other complicated shapes
2. Low friction loss and high molding pressure
3. All aspects pressure, uniform density distribution and high compact strength.
4. Low mold cost
